Recreation Programs

South Bruce Peninsula has a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities which are host to a number of year-round recreation programs.

You can book a accessible mobi-chair to use to access the water in Bluewater Park. Email Recreation and Parks for more information.

There are also many community organizations which offer activities for the community to enjoy.

Let’s play ball hockey! The youth recreational activity will provide youth the opportunity to get back in the arena and have some fun playing ball hockey.

This 10 week program will run in 1 hour timeslots based on age group from April 22nd to June 24.

Please note: this is not a league and there will be minimal skills instruction offered.

Safety equipment required: CSA approved hockey helmet with cage, hockey gloves, and hockey stick

Recreational Volleyball -This program is currently full, registration date TBD for next session (September 2026-June 2027)

Join us for an fun evening of volleyball with fellow community members! There is plenty of friendly competition and the encouraging environment invites the opportunity to improve volleyball skills through fun play.

New players are welcome to sign up at any time throughout the season. When you are just starting out, we’ll do our best to place you with the same teammates until you get comfortable and familiar with everyone.

Teams are divided fairly 1-2 times per evening, with every team playing each other once.

  • Sign up anytime throughout the season -no weekly commitment required.
  • Participants under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Come out, have fun, and grow your love for volleyball with the community!

Learn punches, kicks, strikes, blocks, throws, joint locks and pressure-point tactics from experienced instructors.

Funding for youth activities may be available through applying to Canadian Tire Jumpstart and KidSport Canada.

A peer group created by, and for, persons new to, and living with blindness and low vision. We get together monthly for friendly discussions with peers about life skills, challenges, technology, tips and supporting each other.
We recognize that transportation is a challenge, but please don’t let that prevent you from reaching out, even if you cannot always attend.
Join us on the 3rd Monday of every month (weather permitting), from 1-4 PM at the Sauble Beach Community Center
