Music on the Bruce – WORLD PREMIERE

Music on the Bruce chamber music festival is back for its sixth season this August.  We have a brand new piece of music to perform this year!  Thanks to a grant from the SOCAN foundation, MOTB has commissioned a new work for string quartet and voice – music by Toronto-based composer Frank Horvat, text by Cape Croker resident, and accoladed Canadian poet Kateri Akiwenzie-Damm.  The new work, “Petrichor”, is dedicated to the Saugeen/Bruce, and will have its world premiere performance at this concert!  The program also features songs of Rebecca Clarke, and Schubert’s epic string quartet in d-minor, “Death and the Maiden”
