Music on the Bruce Final Concert and Reception

Music on the Bruce chamber music festival returns for our sixth season this August!  Our final concert of the summer will feature the MOTB string quartet and mezzo-soprano Joanna Diindiisikwe Simmons.  Schubert’s epic quartet in d-minor, “Death and the Maiden”, as well as a set of songs by Rebecca Clarke, and “Petrichor”, a new work commissioned by MOTB in 2026, with music by the Toronto-based composer Frank Horvat, text by accoladed poet (and Cape Croker resident!) Kateri Akiwenzie-Damm.  A reception will follow the concert, with light refreshments, and a chance to meet the musicians and socialize.
